Sandtrap
Description
Sandtrap is an interactive art installation made for the Firefly Arts Festival 2011 in Bethel, VT. The installation is composed of a 4′ square table backlit with LED lighting, and covered with a thin layer of sand. Participants can draw in the sand, similar to finger painting, and the lighting lights up their drawings.
My friend Kate Van Rees gave me the idea for the name because it literally ‘trapped’ people at it for hours!
